Hanging With Locals

Meet Sam a local South African, I got the pleasure to talk to him for an afternoon while filming in Kruger National Park. A former car mechanic till the business was shutdown after 15 years of employment, I got to see first hand the effects of a struggling South African economy. Sam now rents out a room in his home to have some sort of income to feed himself and is still searching for employment in a town where jobs are hard to come by. Getting to meet people like Sam is a great reminder to always smile and be thankful for what you have.
